How I Create

I create art by bruising the peel of a banana with a blunt point.

Every day I make a new piece of art about something that inspires me, posting each one online as my #BananaOfTheDay.

It’s connected me with people around the world.

The banana is bruised. No ink is used.

When the banana is yellow it’s ripe and ready to be eaten. More than 100 billion are eaten each year.

After a few days, brown marks start to appear as the banana naturally oxidises and bruises.

Pressing into a ripe peel with a fine point speeds up and controls the oxidisation process.
